Noren and Bland tied at the top

Alex Noren joined Richard Bland at the top of the leaderboard on day three of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.

The Swede began the day a single shot behind halfway leader Bland but two birdies in his first six holes saw him move to 12 under and catch up with his playing partner.

Noren picked up his first shot of the day at the second when he tapped in from two feet, before holing his monster birdie putt at the sixth.

Bland got off to a flying start on Saturday, curling in his birdie putt from nine feet at the first before making another gain at the long second.

After safely parring the third, Bland dropped his first shot of the tournament at the fourth after narrowly missing his eight-foot par putt.

Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell was just a single shot behind the co-leaders after firing five birdies in his first ten holes to get to 11 under.

Like Bland, McDowell opened his round with back-to-back birdies before carding pars at his next five holes.

The 37 year old then followed up a birdie at the eighth with another at the ninth to cover the front nine in 31.

And McDowell rolled in his fifth birdie of the day at the tenth to get within a shot of the lead.
