No let-up from Olesen

Thorbjørn Olesen maintained his six-shot lead as the third round of the Turkish Airlines Open got under way at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort.

The 26 year old has been in imperious form this week, starting with a 65 and adding a course-record 62 on Friday to open up a commanding lead.

A birdie on the second moved him to 16 under and kept his advantage at six, with David Drysdale making three birdies in his first four holes to move into second.

American David Lipsky was also three under for the day after five holes to sit in the group at nine under alongside David Horsey, Joakim Lagergren and Adrian Otaegui.

Olesen's opening drive found some nasty rough on the right but he played a brilliant second shot to eight feet, although he could not make the birdie putt.

The Dane must have felt that it was his week on the par three second as his tee-shot was heading left but hit tree branches, came down and rolled up the slope on the green to set up a birdie from six feet.

Playing partner Thongchai Jaidee was having no such luck and he bogeyed the first after missing the green but did well to get up and down on the second and third.

Scot Drysdale was the only man looking like a real threat in the early stages and after birdieing the second, he put his approach very close on the third and then holed a 15-footer on the fourth to make it three in a row.

Lipsky had three birdies in a row from the third while Lagergren and Horsey were both one under for the day through three holes.

Jaidee was then at eight under alongside Li Haotong and Matteo Manassero.
