The Dane won his first DP World Tour title on Sunday at the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo and has now earned enough points on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex to secure his spot at the two Middle East-based events.

Nørgaard joins the likes of Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Tommy Fleetwood, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Thriston Lawrence at the DP World Tour Play-Offs, namely the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and DP World Tour Championship.

Prior to his breakthrough victory at The Belfry, Nørgaard had played 20 events across the Global Swings on the Race to Dubai schedule, with a previous best finish of tied second at the Soudal Open in May.

Nørgaard has climbed 30 spots on the DP World Tour’s season-long rankings to sit sixth, with ten events left in the campaign.

The Betfred British Masters marked the first event of the Back 9, where there are increased Race to Dubai points on offer, with 5,000 available in each regular event – up from 3,000 during the Global Swings phase. 8,000 Rankings points will be on offer at the BMW PGA Championship as the third Rolex Series Event of the year.

Players can qualify for the DP World Tour Play-Offs throughout the Back 9, as they earn enough points to guarantee their position in the top 70.

Lawrence, who finished second to Nørgaard over the weekend in England, is now the closest pursuer of Race to Dubai leader McIlroy.
