After becoming Official Supplier to The European Tour last year, Mouton Cadet, the world’s leading Bordeaux AOC wine, is now also the Official Supplier to the KLM Open and the Deloitte Ladies Open.
Since June 2012, Mouton Cadet has been the Official Supplier to the European Tour and serves the needs of individual events, including the Tour’s Flagship Event, the BMW PGA Championship, the Irish Open, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, the Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex and the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.
For the next three years, the world’s leading Bordeaux AOC wine will also be the exclusive wine available at the Deloitte Ladies Open in May and in September at the KLM Open, won last year by Ryder Cup player Peter Hanson of Sweden.
Hugues Lechanoine, Managing Director of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, says: “We are delighted to extend our involvement in golf with these two great events, and we raise a glass of Mouton Cadet to the on-going success of both the Deloitte Ladies Open and the KLM Open.”
Both Liz Weima, Tournament Director of the Deloitte Ladies Open, and Daan Slooter, Tournament Director of the KLM Open were thrilled to welcome the brand to the family.
“Hospitality is an important pillar of the success of the Opens in the Netherlands,” said Slooter.
“Next to a world-class sporting experience, our guests also expect to be well taken care of. I’m sure they will appreciate the wines of this outstanding wine house.”
The KLM Open and the Deloitte Ladies Open are both organized by TIG SPORTS and supported by partners KLM, Deloitte and ABN AMRO. TIG Sports is a Sports Marketing Company specialising in international sports events. Other events organized by TIG Sports 2013 include the National Championship Short Track and a FIVB Beach Volleybal Swatch World Tour Event.
Produced by the family-owned French wine company Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, Mouton Cadet was created in 1930 and has remained true to its origins whilst evolving into what has now become the worldwide reference for Bordeaux Appellation d’Origine Controlee wines.
An immediate success in France, Mouton Cadet started its expansion in the UK and North America in the 1960s to become the best-selling Bordeaux in the world in the 80’s, a success and expansion that continues to the present day. Mouton Cadet achieves annual sales of 12 million bottles, with 80 per cent of that number exported to 150 countries around the globe, thanks to the company’s powerful and extensive sales network.
Mouton Cadet has been associated with premium events throughout the worlds of sport, fashion and cinema, including the Cannes International Film Festival, where Mouton Cadet has been an Official Supplier since 1992.
