Memory lane - Pepperell's Pléneuf play-off

As the final preparations are made at Golf Blue Green de Pléneuf Val André, this week's Cordon Golf Open will have to go some to match the drama of the 2012 edition, where Eddie Pepperell claimed a memorable maiden professional win.

The Englishman, then just 21 years old, made four birdies in his closing 12 holes in testing conditions to set the clubhouse target on three under par before Denmark's Jeppe Huldahl birdied his final two holes to force a play-off which his rival won on the first extra hole.

Pepperell went on to graduate that year, since when he has finished in the top ten on the European Tour 15 times, most notably a runner-up finish in last year's Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by the Rory Foundation.
