What's in the bag of home favourite Maximillian Kieffer at this week's BMW International Open? Have a look at what caught our eye...
After finishing runner-up on German soil at the Porsche European Open earlier this month, Kieffer is looking to go one better as he targets his second DP World Tour title.
An opening five-under 67 at Golfclub München Eichenried has the 32-year-old well positioned to mount another title challenge.
Ahead of the event getting started, Tim Barter gave Kieffer’s bag an inspection and discovered two things of particular interest.
The 2006 Junior Ryder Cup might be 17 years ago, but Kieffer continues to use a ball bag to keep tees and pencils as a memento from his participation at Celtic Manor to this day.
Victor Dubuisson and Tony Finau also played in that contest in Wales and have since gone on to play in the Ryder Cup itself - something Kieffer will hope to emulate in the remainder of his career.
Barter was also intrigued by Kieffer’s 2-Ball putter which has numbers on the bottom that reflect its loft and lie.
Kieffer this week has the 20-year edition of the original 2-Ball putter in his bag and will hope it can help him lift the title on home soil.
