Here is everything you need to know from Friday's second round at Muthaiga Golf Club.
Elvira's big finish
Nacho Elvira produced a magnificent birdie-birdie-eagle finish late in the day to take a one-shot lead into the weekend. Afternoon starter Elvira recovered from an early bogey with three birdies around the turn before his late fireworks saw the Spaniard reach ten under par and overtake Nick Bachem, Jayden Schaper and Ryo Hisatsune at the top of the leaderboard.
Hisatsune goes low
Hisatsune posted the lowest round of the week so far on Friday, reeling off three separate birdie hat-tricks on his way to an eight-under-par 63. That handed him the early clubhouse lead on nine under but he had to settle for a share of second place following Elvira's late charge.
Home heroes enjoy sensational support
The crowds at Muthaiga Golf Club are really getting behind the Kenyan players in the field, with each birdie receiving a huge roar. Mutahi Kibugu gave them plenty to celebrate as he made five birdies in his second-round 71. This closing gain got the biggest cheer of the day as it took him to three under par and secured his safe passage into the weekend...
Identical eagles
Adri Arnaus drained an enormous eagle putt across the tenth green, then - in the very next group - Tom McKibbin did exactly the same thing from similar range. Take a bow, boys.
