Robert MacIntyre was full of pride in his performance as he made it back to back second place finishes on the European Tour at the Made in Denmark presented by FREJA.
The Scot - one of four to graduate off the European Challenge Tour in 2018 - has enjoyed an excellent start to life on the European Tour, missing just two cuts in 15 events and finishing runner up at the Betfred British Masters.
He came into the final day at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort one shot behind Bernd Wiesberger and the playing partners put on a wonderful show in Farsø.
The 22-year-old was millimetres from an eagle on the 14th and almost chipped in for birdie on the next as the leading duo could not be separated after 15 holes.
A Wiesberger birdie on the 16th edged the Austrian ahead and when MacIntyre went out of bounds off the 17th tee, Wiesberger could afford a bogey on the last as he claimed a fifth European Tour title.
MacIntyre is still searching for his first but after two second places and four other top 20s in just 15 appearances, it may not be far away.
"I'm proud of the way I finished," he said. "I thought I gave it everything I had It was a poor shot on 17 that really cost me. It's the worst swing I've probably put on a shot in a long, long time but I'm young, I live and I learn.
"I had to get it down 18 with a sniff and I did have a chance but Bernd played brilliantly all day.

He added: "I get a feeling on the putter, the grip just feels great, maybe twice or three times a year. The last two weeks I've played, it's felt unbelievable.
"On 14, the eagle putt, I don't know how it missed and then I hit a poor wedge shot on 15 and had a full horseshoe.
"When it's your day, it's your day, and today wasn't my day."
