Joost Luiten has been named the Hilton Golfer of the Month for February after claiming a superb win in the inaugural NBO Oman Open, his sixth on the European Tour.
Fans were able to cast their votes to determine the winner of this month’s award and 48 per cent backed Luiten after his latest triumph. The Dutchman finished in a share of 11th at the Maybank Championship in the early part of the February, before beating Chris Wood by two strokes in Oman for his first title in the Middle East.

Shubhankar Sharma, one of the rising stars of Indian golf, came in second place in the voting with 24 per cent. The 21 year old won his second European Tour title of the season at the Maybank Championship, following up his Joburg Open win with a commanding performance in Malaysia.
Eddie Pepperell and Kiradech Aphibarnrat both won 14 per cent of the votes, thanks no doubt in large part to their winning performances at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth respectively.
By casting their vote to decide who should be crowned the Hilton Golfer of the Month fans are automatically entered into a fantastic prize draw, with one lucky winner claiming win a two-night stay at any Hilton hotel, anywhere in the world.
As the latest recipient of the award, Luiten will receive an automatic upgrade to Hilton Honors Diamond Status, Hilton’s award-winning loyalty program.
