European Open - Round One

Overnight leaders Jeev Milkha Singh and Christian Cévaër, three clear of the field when they resumed, did not have a birdie between them in the first 11 holes.

Webster's birdies at the 12th and 13th brought him level with Spaniard José Manuel Lara on seven under.

One behind were Cévaër, 21 year old Bristol player Chris Wood, Lara's compatriot Alvaro Quiros, Scot Gary Orr and Australian Marcus Fraser.

Welshman Stephen Dodd, who drove home thinking he had missed the cut on Friday afternoon, climbed into the joint lead with six birdies in his first 16 holes, but bogeyed the last two to set the clubhouse target of five under.

Rory McIlroy, joint third entering the round, was down to three under after 12 holes - five of them bogeys.
