Pablo Larrazábal has confirmed he will tee it up at The International near Amsterdam as he prepares to defend his KLM Open title from June 20-23, 2024.
The 104th edition welcomes the passionate and successful Spaniard, who has nine victories on the DP World Tour to his name.
After his victory in 2023, the 40-year-old recounted the many Spanish players on the trophy and in particular talked about his friend and mentor Ramón Sota, who won the Open in 1966 and 1971.
"Winning the KLM Open was a dream come true,” said Larrazábal. “To have my name on the trophy with all these fantastic players is what we play for. I'm proud to be another Spanish winner following the likes of Seve, José-Maria, Miguel Ángel and my mentor Rámon Sota. I can't wait to get back and try to defend my title!"
Early bird tickets for the KLM Open go on sale January 24th via www.klmopen.nl and will benefit from a 10% discount.
Daan Slooter, Tournament Director of the KLM Open, added: “Pablo did not have to think long about his participation in the 2024 KLM Open. After winning in 2023, he immediately said he would return to defend his title and he is keeping that promise.
“Spanish golfers have won a special place with Dutch golf fans, but so does the KLM Open among Spanish golfers.”
The KLM Open has been won by eight Spaniards on 11 occasions, with the late, great Seve Ballesteros, winning the tournament three times.
