Bernhard Langer retained his three shot lead with one round of the ACE Group Classic remaining after a two under par 70.
The 55 year old German had hit the front with a brilliant first round 62 on Friday, and although he could not replicate that magic in the second round his advantage remained intact as he progressed to 12 under par.
Langer has yet to drop a shot at Twin Eagles, birdies at the first and 14th his only deviation from par.
Taiwan’s Chien Soon-lu is second on nine under, while the European Senior Tour was also represented by Roger Chapman, who sits tied for 17th after a 73.
“I actually played some good golf today, had several chances, a little bit unlucky with some of my putts," said Langer, who has finished second and third in his last two US Champions Tour outings.
"There's a bunch of them that just went over the edges and none of them dropped. I’m very happy that I didn't make a bogey in these tough conditions."
