Langer joins 20 plus club

Bernhard Langer held off the challenge of Fred Couples and Colin Montgomerie with a one under par 71 to win the US Champions Tour's Insperity Invitational for the third time.

Langer finished 11 under par at The Woodlands to become only the tenth player ion Champions Tour to record 20 victories.

"I'm hoping to add to that number," Langer said. "I hope I'm not done yet. I'm very blessed to have won 20 times in six years. It's been a great run and a wonderful achievement. I just feel like I'm playing some of my best golf in my career."

The 56 year old German also won the 2007 event at Augusta Pines and successfully defended his title in 2008 at The Woodlands. He opened this season with a victory in Hawaii.

The 2010 winner Couples mounted a strong final day challenge as he finished his week with a round of 67.

Former Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie was third at nine under after a 70, recording his best finish on the Champions Tour.

"If you're second, third to Couples and Langer, you're doing OK," said Montgomerie.
