England’s Barry Lane registered a top-ten finish at the Insperity Championship as Esteban Toledo claimed a play-off victory.
Four-time Senior Tour winner Lane carded a closing 71 in the Champions Tour event at The Woodlands to finish one under par for the week.
That was five behind Americans Gene Sauers and Mike Goodes and Mexican Toledo.
After birdieing the sixth, Lane dropped three shots in two holes from the eighth but fought back with an inward 33 that contained four birdies.
South African David Frost finished tied for 20th on three over par, two shots ahead of German Langer and three better than Lane’s compatriot Roger Chapman.
