Spain’s La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort, formerly known as Alcaidesa, has put itself on the map among Europe’s elite golfing venues after becoming the latest to join the European Tour Destination network.
The news caps off an exciting start to the year for the 36-hole venue, which has recently opened a new contemporary clubhouse and driving range as part of a multi-million euro investment and transformation.
As part of the renovation plans, the Alcaidesa Links course will reopen this summer following a redesign by Kurtis Bowman, as well as a new luxury five-star hotel, halfway house with restaurant, and a beach club being unveiled.
European Tour Destinations is a global network of world-class golf venues across 21 countries on three continents.
Each destination is part of a select number of prestigious golf and real estate venues, with their identity closely aligned to The European Tour Group, creating a unique partnership which ensures that all guests can enjoy the outstanding experience to be expected from the family of one of the game’s foremost organisations.
The network includes some of the most prestigious golf and lifestyle resorts in Europe, the Middle East and south-east Asia, with many of the venues home to courses which consistently feature prominently in international rankings. European Tour Destinations’ venues also host an array of prestigious tournaments including the Ryder Cup and DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, the final Rolex Series event of the DP World Tour season.

Located in the Cadiz municipality of San Roque, close to Sotogrande, La Hacienda is situated on the beachfront offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and Africa.
