With World Number One Lee Westwood and World Number Six Rory McIlroy already confirmed, it promises to be a fantastic field in Crans Montana in the Swiss Alps.

Kaymer won last season’s Race to Dubai after a phenomenal season during which he won four times, including his first Major at the US PGA Championship.

He also played his part in Europe’s Ryder Cup victory over the United States in October, and in February this year made it to World Number One, a position he later relinquished to Westwood.

The 26 year old won his ninth European Tour title in January at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, a tournament he has now clinched three times.

The Omega European Masters is taking place at Crans-sur-Sierre for the 65th year this season. Last year Spaniard Miguel Angel Jiménez captured the title, adding his name to an impressive list of champions including Westwood, Seve Ballesteros, Sir Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, José Maria Olazabal and Ernie els.

First played in 1923, the Omega European Masters is an integral part of The European Tour Schedule, played at one of the highest and most picturesque venues.
