Two time Major Champion Martin Kaymer has confirmed he will play in the KLM Open next month, adding further strength to a star-studded field.

The 30 year old won the tournament at Hilversumsche Golf Club in 2010, shortly after claiming his first Major title in the US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.

Kaymer’s last appearance in the KLM Open came three years ago, and Tournament Director Daan Slooter is delighted to have him back.

“Martin Kaymer is a great golfer and we are glad to welcome him at the KLM Open,” he said. “He is a world-class player who every tournament would like to add to its field. I know he feels at home in the Netherlands.”

The former World Number One will join a host of stars at Kennemer Golf and Country Club from September 10-13, including European Ryder Cup Captain Darren Clarke, Ryder Cup players Victor Dubuisson and Thomas Bjørn, and American legend Tom Watson.

Home favourite Joost Luiten, who won the title in 2013, is also in the field, as are Miguel Angel Jiménez, 2012 champion Peter Hanson, and young rising stars Tommy Fleetwood, Eddie Pepperell and Tyrrell Hatton.
