Former World Number One Martin Kaymer has been added to the field for the 100th edition of the KLM Open, set to take place at The International Golf Course for the first time from September 12-15.
The German won the event in 2010 and will be joined by fellow Major winners Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed, as well as American Troy Merritt in the world class field.
Kaymer, a two-time Major winner, has been one of Europe's greatest golfers over the past decade with the 11-time European Tour winner also representing Team Europe at four Ryder Cups.
Merritt, a two-time winner on PGA Tour, is looking forward to his debut in the Netherlands next month after finishing tied 12th last week at the Northern Trust.
“I am very happy that Martin is returning to the KLM Open,” said Dan Slooter, Tournament Director of the KLM Open. “I know he always has a good time at our event, so it's almost like a home tournament for him. We are fortunate that one of the most successful golfers of this generation is coming to strengthen the already impressive field of participants in 2019, which includes fellow Major winners Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed.
“I’m also delighted to welcome Troy Merrit to the International in Amsterdam for the 100th edition of the KLM Open.”
