Kaskáda Golf Challenge: Three to Watch

The Road to Mallorca returns to the Czech Republic for the second time in three weeks, with Kaskáda Golf Resort the host for the Kaskáda Golf Challenge. Here are three players to watch out for this week…

Form horse

Adam Blomme

Adam Blommé has made a terrific start to the 2023 Road to Mallorca, making the cut in all but three events and registering four top ten finishes in that time. Two of those came from his last two starts with the Swede finishing tied seventh at the Copenhagen Challenge Presented by Ejner Hessel before a third-place finish at the D+D Real Czech Challenge two weeks ago. His best result to date came at the Dimension Data Pro-Am back during the South African Swing in February where he finished in solo second after a final round 66. The 27-year-old currently sits in third on the Road to Mallorca Rankings and is chasing a maiden win on the Challenge Tour.

Local boy

Louis Klein

Louis Klein is comfortably the youngest player in the field this week. The Czech amateur is just 13-years-old and he’s proving that age really is just a number. This isn’t the first time he’s teed it up against the seniors though. He competed at the same event last year as a 12-year-old where despite missing the cut, he impressed, carding rounds of 74 and 72, gaining valuable experience in the process.

The outsider

Niklas Regner

Niklas Regner returns to the Kaskáda Golf Challenge having enjoyed a successful week at the same venue in 2022. Last year the Austrian posted four under par rounds of 66-70-69-68 to finish in a tie for eighth place and looked comfortable on the hillside course. Despite an inconsistent start to the 2023 Road to Mallorca season, the 24-year-old has shown glimpses of the form that saw him register three top ten finishes last term. Returning to a happy hunting ground could be just what he needs to kick-start his climb up the Rankings.
