The DP World Tour remains in the continent of Africa for the third week running, with Glendower Golf Club playing host to the second of back-to-back co-sanctioned events with the Sunshine Tour.
Nick Bachem is the defending champion, having won his maiden DP World Tour title in his rookie season when the event was held at The Club at Steyn City 12 months ago.
The last three winners on the DP World Tour are all teeing it up in South Africa, with Jordan Gumberg becoming the fourth first-time winner this season over the weekend, while Thriston Lawrence heads up a strong challenge of home favourites.

Fantasy Insight: As it stands, Connor Syme is the favourite among players of our Fantasy Game this week, featuring in 57% of teams. Other popular players include Tom McKibbin (52%) and Thriston Lawrence (45%).
Jesper Svensson, who has finished in a tie for second twice so far this season since graduating from the European Challenge Tour, is the fourth most picked player, featuring in 41% of Fantasy teams, marginally ahead of two-time DP World Tour winner Ewen Ferguson.
Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.
Favourite - Tom McKibbin
The Northern Irishman has been a model of consistency in recent weeks, finishing in the top 25 on all five starts he has made since the turn of the year.
Those performances mean he heads into the final stop on the eight-event International Swing lying 16th on the standings and 24th on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex.
Having won his first DP World Tour title in his rookie season last year, his form suggests another is certainly more than a distinct possibility as the campaign progresses.
Form Horse - Connor Syme
While Jesper Svensson is worth an honourable mention for his run of T11, T16 and T2 in his last three starts, we are focusing our attention on another in-form player seeking an elusive DP World Tour win.
While there will be disappointment for the Scot at how he was unable to make more of holding a share of the 54-hole lead last week, he is getting ever closer to that breakthrough.
After back-to-back top 20s at the tail end of last year, he then had a series of middling results before his back-to-back top 10s at the Magical Kenya Open and SDC Championship.
Wild Card – Ryan van Velzen
After Robin Williams narrowly missed out on his maiden DP World Tour title last week, we are opting to profile another home hope as one of our ‘ones to watch’.
Van Velzen has already won on the Sunshine Tour this year, claiming his second title on home soil at the Mediclinic Invitational, before losing out in a play-off a couple of weeks later at the Bain’s Whisky Cape Town Open on the European Challenge Tour last month.
The 22-year-old’s knowledge of the local fairways also extends to events on the DP World Tour, having finished in a tie for second at the Investec South African Open Championship at the end of last year.
Who have our commentary team picked?

- Tony Johnstone: Thriston Lawrence
- John E Morgan: Zander Lombard

- Tandi McCallum: Dylan Frittelli
Looking back - SDC Championship
Last week, Jordan Gumberg became the third first-time winner on the DP World Tour in as many events as he overcame Robin Williams in a play-off to win the SDC Championship.
However, generally, it was a week for the wild cards with the top six performers being picked in an average of just 2% of teams last week.
Home favourite Williams scored more points than Gumberg thanks to making more birdies and eagle.
Last week’s favourite Zander Lombard missed the cut – the first time he has done so since last year’s D+D Real Czech Masters – as he earned 36 points for the 46% of players that picked him.
The Form Horse, Ewen Ferguson, finished 20th, earning 160 points, while Wild Card Ugo Coussaud finished 24th to pick up 124 points.
By finishing in a tie for 15th, Nacho Elvira moved to the top of the Fantasy swing rankings.
