After leading his European Team to a hard fought tie at the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM, Captain Miguel Angel Jiménez has been voted as winner of the March Shot of the Month competition.
During the Friday foursomes at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club playing partner Pablo Larrazabal found the sand short of the par five third hole, only for his esteemed compatriot to splash out with aplomb and find the bottom of the cup for an eagle three.
Cue a wave of acknowledgement to the galleries surrounding the green from Jiménez, and as he removed his sunglasses, a wink for the camera too, en route to an eventual halved match with Asia Captain Thongchai Jaidee and teammate Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

In a closely fought contest for the March prize, the 50 year old from Malaga claimed 19 per cent of the My European Tour vote, with one lucky fan earning themselves a set of brand new Titleist Vokey SM5 wedges.
Fellow Spaniard, and EurAsia Cup teammate, Gonzalo Fernandez-Castaño came second after an eagle of his own in Kuala Lumpur earned him 16 per cent of the vote, while recent Volvo China Open winner Alexander Levy came third after a hole in one at the Trophee Hassan II was one per cent worse off.
The triumphant Jiménez will now go forward to contest the Shot of the Year prize with the other two monthly winners so far this season – Charl Schwartzel and Victor Dubuisson.
