Players will contest a €180,000 purse – a rise of €20,000 from last year – thanks to increased support from the French Golf Federation, which has long been a strong partner of the Challenge Tour.

The 2013 schedule features three events in France – the €500,000 dual-ranking Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open being the third – and the prize fund increase comes as part of the strategy of the French Golf Federation for young professionals, and as part of their programme for The 2018 Ryder Cup, which will take place at Le Golf National in Paris.

Alain de Soultrait, Director of the Challenge Tour, said: “We are extremely pleased with the decision to increase the prize fund for these two events in France. It demonstrates the dedication of the French Federation to the Challenge Tour.

“France has always been one of the strongest countries on the Challenge Tour, and we continue to be very grateful for their support.”

Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge is a new tournament, taking place at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil near the northerly city of Rouen.

TheOpen Côtes d'Armor Bretagne, held at Golf Blue Green de Pléneuf Val André has been on the Challenge Tour schedule since 2007 and was last year won by Englishman Eddie Pepperell, who is enjoying an excellent rookie season on The European Tour in 2013.
