After becoming the first Polish winner in the European Challenge Tour’s history with victory at the 57° Open de Portugal @ Morgado Golf Resport, we have looked into Adrian Meronk’s blossoming career and picked out some of the key stats.

49 – the number of Challenge Tour events it took the Pole to secure his first victory. In that time, he has one runner-up and one third place finish, and six further top tens.

32,000 – the amount, in Euros, which Meronk collected thanks to winning the Open de Portugal. The 26-year-old secured his biggest cheque to date and also collected 32,000 points on the Road to Mallorca.

7 – his maiden win ensured Meronk jumped 12 places on the Road to Mallorca and now occupies seventh spot with 77,215.5 points.

+4.7 – the handicap Meronk reached before turning professional in 2016.

1 – he was before, but his victory in Portugal means he is comfortably Poland’s Number One golfer.

263 – Meronk’s Open de Portugal victory saw him reach 263rd on the Official World Golf Ranking, the highest position of his career.

5 – the number of amateur titles Meronk secured before joining the paid ranks. He also became the first Pole to win American College titles.

6 – team appearances. Meronk made three Arnold Palmer Cup bows, winning in 2016, and played twice in the Eisenhower Trophy. Since turning professional, he has played one team event in the shape of the 2018 European Championships.

66 – the number of shots it took Meronk to get around Morgado Golf Resort in the final round and subsequently lift the Open de Portugal trophy.
