Hutsby and Hebert out in front in Geneva

The third round of the Rolex Trophy was completed on Saturday morning, with 16 groups returning to the course at 7.30am after severe thunderstorms forced the suspension of play on Friday afternoon.

The large number of players returning meant the fourth round had to be exactly the same draw as the third round, meaning the leader, Sam Hutsby, teed off at 8.30am, instead of being in the final group as is normally the case.

The young Englishman reached 15 under par with a third-round six under par 66 yesterday, making the most of the benign morning conditions, while Frenchman Benjamin Hebert was one shot back after a one under par 71.

Hebert closed the gap with a birdie at the third hole of his fourth round, having teed off at 8.10am, while Switzerland’s André Bossert was one under for the day and 12 under overall after six holes. Spaniard Jorge Campillo was also 12 under, one under after three holes, alongside Florian Praegant who is among the afternoon starters, going off at 12.20.
