David Horsey survived a late stumble to outlast the chasing pack and claim a wire-to-wire victory at the Made in Denmark.
The Englishman opened the week with a 63 at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort and while his closing round was ten shots worse than that, it was enough to give him a 13 under par total and a two shot victory over a group of four players.
Horsey held a seven shot lead at one point in the third round and, although he was knocked off top spot briefly on Sunday afternoon, he dug in for a fourth European Tour title.
"It's a kick-start really," he said. "I've been playing well for quite a few months now and not really been getting any results and not scoring particularly well so to come out with a bit more strategy and a bit more focus this week has paid off.
"It was a bit of a strange week. I've been focusing on myself and not trying to get caught up in the tournament and I managed to do that so well it's nearly a bit of surprise
The last couple of holes there was a lot of waiting around it and it started to then become a reality so very, very pleased. I made hard work of it but I got over the line at the end.

"I was a little bit disappointed with myself on 16, but managed to regroup and focus coming down those last couple of holes. I left myself a very tough putt on 17 but to par the last as well was perfect."
Horsey began the day with a one shot lead and Terry Pilkadaris joined him at the top with a birdie on the second to move to 15 under, but the man from Stockport regained his advantage on the third with a birdie of his own.
Pilkadaris picked up a shot on the sixth as Horsey three putted and when the 30 year old found a bunker off the tee at the par three seventh, he was knocked off the top of the leaderboard for the first time in 41 holes.
Back-to-back bogeys followed for the Australian, though, and after nine holes the top of the leaderboard looked the same as it had at the start of the day.
Meanwhile, Søren Kjeldsen made the turn in 33 to sit in the group at 11 under as the chasing pack struggled to reel in the leading duo.
The 40 year old lipped out a putt on the 11th but then birdied the 13th before he missed a golden opportunity from three feet on the next.
Behind him, Horsey and Pilkadaris were matching each other swing for swing with four consecutive pars before a pair of bogeys on the 14th left the door ajar for Kjeldsen.
A double bogey on the 15th from Pilkadaris after a drop gave Horsey a two shot lead but he almost unbelievably three putted from eight feet on the 16th and was one ahead as he stood on the 18th tee with Kjeldsen playing ahead of him.
The home favourite found a bunker off the tee and made a bogey on the last to give Horsey a two shot advantage and victory was his with a par on the 18th.
Kjeldsen's 68 handed him a share of second place alongside Pilkadaris who finished with a 74 and another Australian, Daniel Gaunt, who closed out his week with a 66.
Kristoffer Broberg was also on 11 under after he broke the course record earlier in the day with a brilliant 62.
The Swede opened with a pair of pars but then racked up four birdies in a row and made another gain on the eighth to turn in 31.
He picked up further shots at the tenth and 11th to make it seven birdies in his last nine holes, but back-to-back pars stalled his momentum a little before the red numbers returned on 14.
Another birdie on the 16th got him to nine under for the day and he parred his way home.
Mads Søgaard and Paul Lawrie both finished with 69s to sit at ten under alongside Bradley Dredge, who closed with a 70, and Richard Green who went round in level par 71 on Sunday.
John Parry, who briefly took the lead off Horsey on Friday, was then on nine under after a closing 73.
