Horsey pulls further clear

England’s David Horsey made a fine start to his third round at Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club as he extended his lead in the M2M Russia Open.

The 29 year old held a two shot halfway lead after rounds of 65 and 68, and birdied the first and third to reach 13 under par in Moscow.

Scotland’s Pete Whiteford was also off to a flier, birdieing three of his first four holes to join Belgian rookie Thomas Pieters in second on ten under.

England’s Gary Boyd was two shots further back in fourth, with the rest of the field in danger of being cut adrift from the runaway leader.

Horsey, a two-time European Tour winner, is seeking his first title since capturing the 2011 Trophée Hassan II.
