Hopps Open de Provence to host final French event of 2019

The fourth and final French event on the Challenge Tour International Schedule will take place at Hopps Open de Provence from September 26-29.

The second hole at Pont Royal

The event, which made its European Challenge Tour debut last year, returns to the Seve Ballesteros-designed Golf International de Pont Royal. It is the only French course which was designed by the late Ballesteros and saw his son, Javier, play in the inaugural tournament last year.

Romain Langasque triumphed on home soil at the maiden event and the home crowd will be hoping for another homegrown winner when it returns as part of two French events in September following the Open de Pléneuf at the start of the month.

The second edition of the Hopps Open de Provence will also be the four French tournament of the year on the Challenge Tour, as France distinguishes itself as the most visited country on tour for a second straight year, with events taking place in Saint Omer and Le Vaudreuil in June and July respectively.
