Olympians Matteo Manassero and Guido Migliozzi will lead the home charge when the Italian Open presented by Regione Emilia-Romagna tees off next week at Adriatic Golf Club, from June 27-30.
The pair’s qualification to represent Italy at the Olympic Games in Paris in August was confirmed earlier this week, and they will be joined in the field by a number of fellow Italian stars, including Ryder Cup Vice Captain Edoardo Molinari and two-time DP World Tour winner Renato Paratore.
Both Manassero and Migliozzi will be making their second appearances at the Olympic Games, after previously qualifying for 2016 and 2020 respectively.
Also teeing it up in Cervia will be former Masters Tournament winners Patrick Reed and Danny Willett, and fans are able to register for free tickets to see the action here.
Additionally, there are two places available in The 152nd Open at Royal Troon as part of The Open Qualifying Series. The leading two golfers not otherwise exempt will earn a place in the final men’s Major of the season. The famous Claret Jug will be on display in the Tournament Village during the week.
The ‘Sport Valley’ of Emilia-Romagna will play host to the Italian Open for a second time, 31 years after Greg Turner won at Modena Golf & Country Club in 1993. Two major international events will take place in the region next week, with the Tour de France starting in Italy for the first time. The Tour will pass the venue during its second stage on Sunday June 30.
