Everything you need to know from day one at Fairmont St Andrews.
Sean got on a roll, not once but twice, while the Scots impressed in front of their home crowd on the opening day of the 2022 Hero Open.
Here is everything you need to know from day one at Fairmont St Andrews.
Gallacher's glorious run
Home favourite Stephen Gallacher made a steady start to his opening round, firing nine straight pars to turn in 36. But he broke that run in style, making back-to-back birdies at the tenth and 11th before eagling the long 12th with an absolutely stunning 42-foot putt.

After sending his tee-shot at the short eighth to 67 feet from the hole, Matthew Southgate produced the perfect putt to set his ball hurtling into the cup. What a shot...

Crocker gets on a roll... twice
Sean Crocker produced a quite remarkable burst of scoring in the middle section of his front nine, picking up a stunning six shots in five holes from the third courtesy of an eagle and four birdies. After making his only bogey of the day at the tenth, the American then reeled off four birdies in five holes to jump to the top of the leaderboard on nine under, where he leads by one shot ahead of a five-strong group.
Law goes low with stand-in caddie
Home favourite David Law was not sure what to expect from Thursday's first round after his manager had to step in and carry his bag for him at short notice, but he was a happy man after posting an opening 65. The 31-year-old Scot was without regular caddie Max Bill through illness, so called on his manager for assistance and the partnership bore fruit as Law made eight birdies - including five in a row from the third - and a solitary bogey to get to seven under. Law said: "He was really good. He's caddied in a tour event before so he knew what he was doing and we just had a good time, we had a laugh out there."
