The Hero Challenge is back, with three of the DP World Tour’s best recreating the famous Gong Shot.
We tasked Marcel Siem, Ryan Fox and Pablo Larrazabal to try and skim a shot across a lake and hit a gong positioned out on the water 220 yards away.
Filmed at Dorney Lake, host venue of London 2012 Olympics rowing events, ahead of the BMW PGA Championship in September, the three players saw some agonisingly close attempts as well as some very wayward ones.
Siem was one of the four players, alongside David Howell, Paul McGinley and Rhys Davies, who took part in the original challenge in Scotland in 2010. Over a decade later would he and the others be able to replicate their perfect shot?
Let’s see if they could manage it…
