Australian Hend began the day three shots behind overnight leader Nacho Elvira but he made five birdies on the front nine on Sunday to get to 15 under par and open up a one shot lead over the Spaniard.

Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond, Englishman Oliver Fisher and American Johannes Veerman were in a tie for third on 11 under.

The 45-year-old started brightly, holing his birdie putt from around four feet at the first before rolling in from a similar distance on the fourth to get within one shot of the lead.

Hend drained two monster birdie putts at the sixth and seventh holes to join Elvira at the summit on 14 under.

And he took the outright lead when he closed his front nine with a fifth birdie of the day from eight feet.

Elvira made serene progress on day four, carding five straight pars before knocking in his first birdie of the day from three feet at the sixth.

He reached the turn in 35 after making three more pars in a row.
