Hartø and Tiley neck and neck in Czech

Andreas Hartø and Steven Tiley were neck and neck on 14 under par as the final group reached the 11th tee midway through the third day of the D+D Real Czech Challenge Open.

The early part of the day produced many twists and turns as all three players in the final group, Hartø, Tiley and Anders Schmidt Hansen, birdied the par five second hole to keep Hartø in front by one shot.

When the 24 year old from Copenhagen birdied the fourth hole, he extended his lead to two but just as he looked to open a gap at the top, Tiley embarked on a superb run of three successive birdies from the fifth hole while Hartø dropped a shot at the sixth and the Englishman took a two-shot lead.

But there was another two-shot turnaround to come as Hartø birdied the tenth hole but Tiley fell to his first bogey of the day to set up a dramatic finish to ‘moving day’ at Kunetická Hora Golf Club.

Max Kieffer continued his good form after a course-record 63 on the second day, which launched him into the running for a second title this season, as he was three under par through 11 holes and just one shot off the pace.

Several players made a charge towards the top as Adrian Otaegui carded a seven under par 65 to take the clubhouse lead on 11 under while Julien Guerrier (through 15 holes) and Alessandro Tadini (through 12) were both six under for the day and two shots off the lead.
