Chris Hanson opened up a four-shot lead as the third round of the weather-affected D+D REAL Czech Masters got under way on Saturday afternoon.

Play was suspended for the day at 2.20pm on Friday due to a flooded course as heavy rain continued to batter Albatross Golf Resort, with Hanson having just birdied his first hole of the day to sit two shots off the lead.

The Englishman made a further six birdies and a single bogey upon the resumption to sign for a 66 and move to ten under with a three-shot lead.

A pair of opening birdies in round three then stretched his advantage to four over countryman Lee Slattery, who had managed to complete round two on Friday.

Haydn Porteous was then at seven under, a shot clear of English trio James Allan, Tom Lewis and James Morrison, Chile's Felipe Aguilar and Swede Pontus Widegren.

Hanson finished sixth at the Trophée Hassan II and despite having made just three from 11 cuts since, was in sparkling form on Saturday.

All three of the final group made birdies on the first in round three with Slattery finding the green in two and Morrison and Hanson both laying up and hitting excellent approaches into the par five.

Hanson then holed an eight-footer on the second to make it birdie-birdie on the frst two holes for the third day in a row and, with Slattery having to get up and down for par, the lead was four shots.

Morrison dropped a shot after finding trouble off the tee and with Porteous making a birdie-birdie start, the South African was in third on his own at seven under.

Aguilar and Widegren had both birdied the first and they were sat alongside Morrison six shots off the lead.

Allan turned in 32 with five birdies and a bogey to also sit in that group with Lewis, who made a birdie-birdie start in his first five holes.

Callum Shinkwin was then at five under, a shot clear of French duo Grégory Bourdy and Mike Lorenzo-Vera, 2014 champion Jamie Donaldson, last week's winner Julian Suri, Matteo Manassero, Martin Wiegele and Jeff Winther.
