After fog had delayed the start of play by two hours on Sunday, Goya began his fourth round strongly, picking up a shot at the third hole to reduce overnight leader Lee Slattery's advantage to one stroke.

The Argentine then sank his close range birdie putt at the sixth to move to 13 under, and with Slattery dropping his second shot of the day at the same hole, Goya claimed the outright lead.

Goya safely parred the next three holes to sit at the top of the leaderboard after nine holes.

2013 winner Michael Hoey surged into contention after carding four consecutive birdies on his front nine before making further gains at the 11th, 12th and 13th to sit one shot off the lead with five holes left to play.

England's James Heath, meanwhile, chipped in his second eagle of the day at the 12th to leap up to 12 under par with six holes remaining.

Slattery was also one stroke behind Goya at the turn after following up a birdie at the first with two bogeys and six pars.
