Good Friday for Garcia

Sergio Garcia shot a superb second round 68 at The Masters Tournament and then warned the rest of the field - there’s more to come.

The Spanish 32 year old carded six birdies around Augusta National, but a wayward approach into the crowd at the 18th cost him a bogey and left The Ryder Cup star four under at the halfway stage, one behind clubhouse leaders Jason Dufner and Fred Couples.

“I think I played nicely,” said Garcia. “Obviously a couple of shots here and there and I would like to do better.

“There’s two or three holes out there where I don’t feel comfortable but other than that I felt like it was good.

“It’s a tough golf course, we probably got the worse side of the draw with the weather.”

Asked about his prospects of winning a first Major Championship he added: “I’m just going to go out there and play and try and have two good rounds and see where that puts me.”
