Golfing history was made on Saturday at the Centurion Club as the inaugural GolfSixes saw 16 teams battle it out in a greensomes format over six holes to make it through to Sunday's knockout stage.
Here, we take a look at what some of the teams had to say after their opening three matches.
Lucas Bjerregaard - Denmark
"It feels really good. We had a couple of clutch shots and putts out there coming in. It wasn't pretty all day long but it feels good to be through. I mean, it's been so much fun today, so to get to experience it again tomorrow, it's going to be a lot of fun. I really enjoyed that atmosphere, and especially when we played England early on, I saw a lot of people out here. It seems like they were having fun, a lot of guys drinking beers and having a good time and I think that's awesome. I think that's what this event is all about."
Richie Ramsay - Scotland
"For us it's pretty much job done, day one. It was good fun playing with Kiradech and TJ. They were holing a couple of nice putts on the back, had a bit of a lead on us but we're through to the second day and anything can happen. I think we've got it dialled in already. Our game is pretty good with the short irons. I think we're both really good pressure players and I think when it comes down to it, we'll be able to produce the goods at the end of the day."
Matteo Manassero - Italy
"I think those last couple of holes were really important. We knew that basically we had to win. With the draw, anything could have happened but we wanted to win to be sure. Yeah, I hit a good shot on five. Johan (Carlsson) made a huge putt, great putt, straight in the middle and so we knew we had to respond. I think it's something that should stick. It's something that we are all having a lot of fun with. The crowd is really nice and a lot of cheers, a lot of fun from everybody. As I said, this format that we're playing, every putt counts. Everything counts. It's a whole different idea, it's really, really good."
Scott Hend and Sam Brazel - Australia
Hend: "It was stressful-ish fun. It's a different sort of format and as Brazel will attest to, we didn't know what was going to happen there. It was very exciting for us playing down the stretch."
Brazel: "It's pretty demanding, if your partner hits it off line then the pressure is right on you to do something well so it's nice to get through and hopefully we can play a little better tomorrow."
