Golf Sempachersee to host for a tenth time

The Swiss Challenge presented by Association Suisse de Golf will be one of two Swiss events to feature on the Challenge Tour International Schedule for the 16th consecutive season.

Taking place from June 6-9, the Swiss Challenge presented by Association Suisse de Golf will be played for a 16th time, ahead of the Rolex Trophy in August, with Golf Sempachersee welcoming Europe's top developmental tour for the tenth time.

Alvaro Salto won the inaugural edition in 2000 ahead of Greig Hutcheon a year later, before the event took a four-year hiatus until 2006, where it has now become a firm fixture on the Challenge Tour International Schedule.

Germany’s Marcel Schneider dominated last year’s event, clinching a six-shot wire-to-wire victory for his maiden Challenge Tour title. Whilst Joel Girrbach became the first Swiss winner of the event 12 months earlier.
