Golf for Good Impact Report 2024

Since Golf for Good's launch we have raised over £2,600,000 but there is still much to be done in ensuring a positive long-term impact on the courses, countries and communities we visit. Here is a look at some of the key facts and figures from across our three programmes which make it all possible...

Green Drive

Since the launch of the Green Drive initiative in 2021 and our subsequent pledge to reach Net Zero by 2040, 2024 has been our most sustainable year to date.

Over two miles of coastline cleared through our beach clean initiatives across coastal courses events in Scotland, Sweden and Spain.

Water refill stations have become standard practice at all our events and we annually save an average of 50,000 single-use plastic water bottles per event.

We increased our innovations in energy, utilising more solar panels, batteries and hydrogen at events.

Hosted two 100% green hydrogen broadcasts

Won two industry awards

For the first time ever, our targets of zero waste to landfill across measured events is in sight.

We also launched a travel emissions offsetting tool for our spectators - a first in sport - as well as a version for our players.

Golf Futures

Our Golf Futures programme leaves impact in the communities where we visit, either through charitable giving, participation opportunities or through educational workshops.

We had over 2,270 children on site at our events in 2024, almost three times our impact in 2023

Educational programmes showcasing the benefits of working in and enjoying the game of golf were rolled across the UK, Ireland, Sweden and the UAE.

Participation programmes through local federations, GolfSixes and bespoke clinics ran at most events.
