In today's Genworth Stats Pack report we analyse and compare the performances of the leaders going into the final round of the Volvo Golf Champions.
Round 4 Tee Time 12:50 (final group)
Scott Jamieson ranks down in 21st for Driving Accuracy and 25th for Scrambles, but it is the combination of his 2nd place for Greens in Regulation and 1st place for Putts per GIR that has enabled him to pull out in front by 5 shots, in doing so making more birdies than any other player in the field. He also heads up the Par 3 Scoring with a 2.58 average and has made very few bogeys over the first three days.
Statistically, Julien Quesne is having a most peculiar tournament. He is driving the ball incredibly well (2nd in Driving Accuracy) and hitting lots of greens (7th in Greens in Regulation). And when he is hitting the greens in regulation he is putting fantastically (3rd in Putts per GIR). Amazingly though, when he misses the greens his statistics change considerably. He ranks last of the 33 players for the Genworth Scrambles statistic and 31st for Bogeys per Rnd. How unusual.

A very un-Oosthuizen like third round left the world number six with some ground to make up over the final 18 holes. His Genworth Tournament Statistics are still pretty good though. He ranks first for Par 4 Scoring and Driving Distance, and even though he recorded just 4 single putts in the third round, overall he has still holed more putts than most of the other players (ranking him 2nd in Birdies per Round).
Thongchai Jaidee is producing some steady statistics which is typical of his game. He is one of those true professionals that knows his limits, plotting his way around the course. Not too many birdies and not too many bogeys. If there was a ranking for course management then Thongchai would be right up there.

Statistically Padraig Harrington is performing OK from tee to green, ranking in the middle orange band for most of the long game statistics. He certainly has his eye in on the greens though. He ranks 4th for Putts per GIR, 2nd for Putts per Round and 2nd for 1 Putts per Round. If Padraig can score a bit better on the Par 5’s in the final round he may finish quite well.
For what he lacks in Driving Distance Francesco Molinari certainly makes up for in Driving Accuracy. He leads the Genworth Driving Accuracy statistic with 81.0% after three rounds. Actually, with that in mind we would expect a player of his calibre to be hitting a few more greens, even if he is going at them from a little further away. He is putting well though and making very few mistakes.
