Round 4 of the M2M Russian Open produced 30 sub-par rounds and a field average score of 71.93. Michael Hoey emerged as the winner on -16 with Kaleka, Nixon and Hansen finishing as his nearest challengers. We analyse their performances and round up the final Genworth Statistics leaders.


Michael HOEY -16
Michael Hoey converted three birdies against one bogey on his way to a final round 70, emerging as the winner by four shots. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 34 year old golfer from Northern Ireland ranked 17th for Driving Accuracy (with 47/56 fairways) and 6th for Greens in Regulation (with 54/72 greens), but it was his performance on the greens that really stood out. His putting was arguably the best of all the players and he converted 24 birdies in total. The now five time European Tour winner rises to 81st position on the Race to Dubai.

Matthew NIXON -12
Matthew Nixon converted four birdies against one bogey on his way to a final round 69, to finish tied second alongside Kaleka. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 24 year old Englishman performed extremely well from tee to green, ranking 12th for Driving Accuracy (with 48/56 fairways), 3rd for Greens in Regulation (with 56/72 greens) and 1st for Scrambles (with 12/16 up and downs for Par). Matthew also dropped the fewest shots of all the players in the field (just four bogeys in total) and with this result he climbs to 99th position on the Race to Dubai.

Alexandre KALEKA -12
Alexandre Kaleka converted five birdies against one bogey on his way to a final round 68, for tied second alongside Nixon. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 26 year old French golfer averaged a huge 311 yards for Driving Distance and 72.2% for Greens in Regulation (as well as hitting five of the Par 5 greens in sub-regulation), but he also performed very well in each of the short game categories and averaged a world class 2.63 for Par 3 Scoring. With this result Alexandre climbs to 118th position on the Race to Dubai.

JB HANSEN -11
A real mixed bag over the final 18 holes for JB Hansen included one eagle, seven birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 22 year old Danish golfer excelled from tee to green, driving the ball long and straight and hitting 72.2% Greens in Regulation. He really excelled on the Par 4’s and Par 5’s, averaging a world class 3.88 and 4.31 for those holes, but in contrast to Kaleka he struggled on the Par 3’s (perhaps they didn’t fit his eye). With 3rd and 4th place finishes from his last two events JB now jumps to 66th position on the Race to Dubai.
