Dawie Van Der Walt emerged as the winner on -15 with Baldwin, Campillo and Wattel finishing as his closest challengers. Dawie VAN DER WALT -15
Dawie Van Der Walt converted one eagle and five birdies against three bogeys on his way to a final round 66, to win The Nelson Mandela Championship presented by ISPS Handa by two shots. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 30 year old South African ranked high for most categories including 12th for Greens in Regulation and 3rd for Putts per GIR (the combination of which suggests accurate approach play), plus he scored extremely well across the different hole types and dropped just three shots over the week. This memorable and emotional victory is Dawie’s second on the European Tour in 2013.

Matthew BALDWIN -13
Matthew Baldwin converted four birdies against two bogeys on his way to a final round 68. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 27 year old English golfer recorded some long tee shots but a lower than expected Driving Accuracy percentage for a tournament runner-up. He still managed to hit 42/54 Greens in Regulation though and scramble 9/12 times for Par when missing the greens - leading to great scoring across the different hole types and just three dropped shots over the week.

Jorge CAMPILLO -13
Jorge Campillo converted three birdies against a single bogey on his way to a final round 68. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 27 year old Spanish golfer also recorded some long tee shots but a lower than expected Driving Accuracy percentage (much the same as Baldwin). His short game and putting was very sharp though and he performed the best on the Par 5 holes - hitting four of the Par 5 greens in sub-regulation for a 4.11 scoring average.

Romain WATTEL -12
Romain Wattel converted four birdies against a single bogey on his way to a final round 67. Looking at his Genworth Statistics for the week, the 22 year old French golfer drove the ball well and hit plenty of Greens in Regulation, plus his short game and putting numbers were better than most (ranking 2nd for Putts per Round - taking just 79 putts in total). In contrast to Campillo though, Romain seemed to struggle with the Mount Edgecombe Par 5’s but he really excelled on the Par 3’s and Par 4’s.
