Another beautiful day for the third round of the Avantha Masters led to continued low scoring over the Greg Norman designed Jaypee Greens course. We analyse and compare the performances of the leaders going into the final round (grouped by Round 4 Tee Times).
Round 4 Tee Time 11:00 (final group)
Thomas Aiken jumped into a three shot lead with 18 holes to go with a tremendous round of 62. Every department of his game is strong. He leads the Genworth Driving Accuracy statistic with 33/42 fairways hit, ranks 4th for Greens in Regulation and heads up the Par 4 Scoring with a 3.70 average. The 29 year old South African is managing his way perfectly around the course, having dropped just two shots so far (fewer than any other player). He will be tuff to catch tomorrow.
Wenchong Liang has not been quite as consistent with his long game compared to the leader, but around the greens he has performed brilliantly. The 34 year old golfer from Zhongshan, China ranks 1st for the Genworth Scrambles statistic (15/17 including 5/5 from greenside bunkers) and he has converted more birdies than any other player (19 in total).
The same as Liang, Kiradech Aphibarnrat has not been quite as consistent with his long game compared to the leader. But his aggressive strategy and excellent putting has so far yielded 2 eagles and 17 birdies. Interestingly the 23 year old golfer from Thailand has struggled a little on the Par 3 holes over the first three rounds (no birdies, ten pars and two drop shots).

Round 4 Tee Time 10:50 (penultimate group)
A double bogey at the final hole of his third round dampened what has otherwise been an excellent week so far for David Drysdale. Looking at his Genworth Statistics he is performing very consistently in each department of the game and ranks 2nd for Birdies per Round (18 in total).
Joonas Granberg is also playing with great consistency this week. The 26 year old golfer from Finland ranks 2nd for Par 4 Scoring (with a 3.80 average) and 10th for the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic (with 43/54 greens hit).
Much the same as David Drysdale, Scott Hend suffered a sour ending to an otherwise excellent third round with a double bogey six at the 16th hole. The 40 year old Australian has averaged an enormous 322 yards from the tee, ranking 4th for the Genworth Driving Distance statistic, but incredibly has managed to hit only 28.6% of the fairways so far.

Round 4 Tee Time 10:40 (third to last group)
Gaganjeet Bhullar is the best placed competitor from the home contingent going into Sunday. The 24 year old has been a model of consistency over the first three rounds hitting 31/42 fairways and 48/54 greens (ranking 1st for the Genworth Greens in Regulation statistic). If he can get the putter going tomorrow, who knows?
Tommy Fleetwood has had a bit of a mixed bag over the first three rounds. As an example he has converted two eagles and six birdies for -10 on the Par 5 holes, but he has also suffered six bogeys and a double bogey through the week. Overall the 22 year old Englishman continues to impress.
Julien Quesne leads the Par 5 Scoring with a superb 4.00 average (made up of two eagles, eight birdies and just two pars). After three rounds the 32 year old Frenchman has managed a mediocre 64.8% Greens in Regulation but he has Scrambled 16/19 times (including 4/4 from greenside bunkers).
