Genworth Stats Pack - Round 3 Review

Round 3 of the Hong Kong Open produced 39 sub-par rounds and a field average score of 69.48. Stuart Manley leads on -10 with Ormsby, Kapur and Jiménez following behind. We analyse their performances and round up the Genworth Statistics leaders.

Stuart MANLEY -10

Stuart Manley converted six birdies against two bogeys on his way to a third round 66, to lead by one going into Sunday. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 34 year old Welsh golfer continues to perform very well from tee to green, ranking 19th for Driving Accuracy and 4th for Greens in Regulation combined with 6th for Putts per GIR (the combination of which suggests accurate approach play), plus he has accumulated the most birdies out of all the players (19 in total). After regaining his European Tour card through the recent Qualifying School, tomorrow will no doubt be a huge day for Stuart, who will be attempting to win for the first time on the European Tour (from a total of 124 starts to date, he has achieved 2 top tens including a best of 9th back in 2010).

Wade ORMSBY -9

Wade Ormsby converted seven birdies against three bogeys on his way to a third round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 33 year old Australian golfer is producing some great all round golf, driving the ball straight, hitting plenty of Greens in Regulation, chipping well and recording excellent numbers with the putter. The same as the leader, tomorrow Wade will be attempting to win for the first time on the European Tour (from a total of 175 starts to date, he has achieved 3 top tens including a best of 2nd back in 2007).

Miguel Angel JIMÉNEZ -8

Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 49 year old Spanish maestro is moving along steadily, ranking 6th for Greens in Regulation, 2nd for Par 4 Scoring and 1st for Par 5 Scoring.
