Genworth Stats Pack - Round 3 Review

Ricardo Gonzalez converted four birdies against two bogeys on his way to a third round 70, to co-lead with Fleetwood going into Sunday. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 43 year old Argentine golfer did not hit as many fairways today compared to Thursday and Friday, but his approach play remains sharp and his putting fantastic. The four time European Tour winner has accumulated 19 birdies so far (only Bernd Wiesberger has accumulated more) and he is scoring very well across the different hole types (being the Par 3’s / Par 4’s / Par 5’s). Sunday will be a big day, giving him the opportunity to close out a wire to wire victory.

Tommy Fleetwood converted one eagle and six birdies against three bogeys on his way to a third round 67, to join Gonzalez at the top of the leaderboard with 18 holes to play. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 22 year old English talent seems to be shredding the Gleneagles Par 5 holes with a 4.00 average. He ranks 4th for Driving Distance and he has hit 7/12 of the Par 5 greens in sub-regulation two shots, all leading to three eagles, seven birdies, one par and one bogey on those holes. Tommy is yet to achieve a top three finish from 64 starts on the European Tour so tomorrow could be a big step forward in his rising career.

Fredrik Andersson Hed converted one eagle and five birdies against one bogey on his way to a third round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 41 year old Swedish golfer is excelling on and around the greens, ranking very high in each of the short game and putting categories, plus he ranks 1st for Par 3 Scoring with a 2.67 average. After three very successful years, Fredrik currently ranks down in 159th on the Race to Dubai (only managing to make six cuts so far this year). As we move towards the pressure cooker tail end of the season, his vast amount of experience should serve him well.
