Genworth Stats Pack - Round 2 Review

Favourable scoring conditions for Round 2 of the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open presented by Neuflize OBC produced 63 sub-par rounds and a field average score of 71.60. Tjaart Van Der Walt and Robert Dinwiddie share the lead on -4. We analyse their performances plus we round up the half way Genworth Statistics leaders.

Tjaart VAN DER WALT -4

Tjaart Van Der Walt continued his great play early into the second round although a few dropped shots on the back nine stopped him pulling away from the field. Looking at his Genworth Statistics at the half way stage, the 38 year old South African ranks 6th for Driving Accuracy and 13th for Greens in Regulation, plus he seems to be putting with a deadly touch (ranking 1st for both Putts per GIR and Putts per Round). The only question mark against Tjaart so far is his performance on the Par 5 holes which could be a little better.

Robert DINWIDDIE -4

Robert Dinwiddie converted five birdies during a superb bogey free round of 66, which was nearly the low round of the day behind Seve Benson, Max Glauert and Steven O'Hara (who each shot 65). The 30 year old Englishman is performing well on the Par 3’s (ranking 1st) and the Par 4’s (ranking 10th) but the same as Tjaart Van Der Walt, he seems to be struggling a little on the Par 5’s. With a good number of birdies versus few mistakes, Robert looks impressive over the tough St Omer course going into the weekend.
