Charl Schwartzel converted one eagle and eight birdies against three bogeys on his way to a second round 65 (the low round of the day), to move ominously into a tie for the lead at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 29 year old South African is driving the ball long and straight (ranking 11th for Driving Accuracy and 3rd for Driving Distance), plus he is hitting plenty of Greens in Regulation, scrambling well and looking sharp with the short stick. Don’t be surprised if the 8 time European Tour winner moves up a gear and walks away with this one over the weekend.

Marco CRESPI -12
Marco Crespi converted six birdies against a single bogey on his way to a second round 67, to keep pace with Schwartzel. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 35 year old Italian golfer is performing well from tee to green (including ranking 1st for Driving Accuracy), but perhaps more impressively he is recording excellent figures with the putter, ranking inside the top 3 for each of the official Genworth Statistics putting categories. Marco is also one of five players to drop just two shots over the Glendower course on days one and two.
