A weather affected second day at the Tshwane Open means Round 2 will be completed on Saturday morning. Charl Coetzee and Mark Tullo are the front runners of those that have completed 36 holes. We analyse how they did it.
Charl COETZEE -12
Charl Coetzee converted 13 birdies against just one bogey to reach -12 at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, he has hit 23/28 fairways and 30/36 greens in regulation, scrambled 5/6 times and taken just 55 putts (including 15 single putts and a holed shot from off the green). The 31 year old South African can only realistically be passed by Dawie Van Der Walt in the early hours of tomorrow morning before the finish of Round 2, so he will surely be in the final group for the third round.

Mark TULLO -11
Mark Tullo has not dropped a single shot over the first 36 holes (the only player in the field other than Dawie Van Der Walt to have done so). At the half way stage he has hit 22/28 fairways and 31/36 greens in regulation, scrambled 5/5 (including 3/3 Sand Saves) and taken 56 putts (including 16 single putts). Considering Mark has not yet hit a Par 5 green in sub-regulation (2 shots) his 4.38 average for Par 5 Scoring is very impressive. Note that the 35 year old golfer from Chile brings good form into this event with a 5th place finish at the Africa Open a few weeks ago, so there is a good chance he will be challenging for the title come Sunday afternoon.
