Genworth Stats Pack - Day 1 Review

Poor visibility and rain stopped play early on Day 1 of the Ballantine’s Championship. Jean-Baptiste Gonnet, Kieran Pratt, Johan Edfors, Gi-whan Kim and Matthew Baldwin are the early leaders in the clubhouse on 5 under Par. We analyse how they did it.

Matthew BALDWIN -5

Matthew Baldwin fired seven birdies during his round of 67. The 27 year old Englishman hit 7/14 fairways, 15/18 greens in regulation and he took just 27 putts. One of the stand-out stats of the day was his Genworth Putts per GIR at 1.533, which was achieved through a combination of great approach play and quality putting.
