Kiradech Aphibarnrat is the early leader following an excellent round of 65, with Grégory Bourdy, Anders Hansen and Edoardo Molinari following close behind with rounds of 66. Kiradech Aphibarnrat’s superb round of 65 included eight birdies, nine pars and one bogey. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 23 year old golfer from Thailand hit 9/14 fairways, 14/18 greens and single putted ten holes (plus he managed to avoid the greenside bunkers and Scrambled 3/4).

Grégory Bourdy enjoyed a fast start to his first round with an outward half of 31 (5 under Par). Overall his long game was very strong all day, producing Genworth Statistics of 10/14 fairways and 15/18 greens. Grégory also managed to avoid the greenside bunkers and Scrambled 2/3.

Anders Hansen produced the shot of the day holing his approach from the right rough at the 2nd (a 444 yard, Par 4). Overall he hit 13/18 Greens in Regulation, but interestingly only managed one of those on the Par 5 holes. He Scrambled well though to single putt all four of them, and he took just 25 putts in total over the day.

Edoardo Molinari produced Genworth Statistics of 10/14 fairways and 15/18 greens, the same as Bourdy for his round of 66. The two time European Tour winner is yet to make a cut this year so he will be looking to kick start his 2013 campaign with a good result this week.
