Lorenzo Gagli enjoyed four unforgettable days at The Masters as he donned the famous white jumpsuit while caddying for golfing great José María Olazábal.
The Italian had a front row seat as Olazábal, a two-time winner of the Green Jacket, made the cut, as he celebrated the 30-year anniversary of his first triumph at Augusta National Golf Club.
Gagli became a winner on the Challenge Tour back in 2018 at the Barclays Kenya Open and has racked up 235 DP World Tour appearances since turning professional almost 16 years ago.
The 38-year-old returned to the Challenge Tour last year after four consecutive years on the DP World Tour, and whilst waiting for his 2024 campaign to get under way, spoke with José María about the possibility of caddying for him at the start of the year.
Olazábal carded rounds of 77-73-75-72 to finish in a share of 45th and enjoyed having a fellow professional player on the bag.
"We were playing a charity pro-am in Greece and actually he told me he would love to caddie for me for a few weeks because he's playing the Challenge Tour but he doesn't have a good category for it," said Olazábal.
“He knew he wouldn't be able to play until May and I said to him, 'well, listen, I'm going to play four tournaments before that. If you're happy to do so, let's do it'.
"On top of it, he wanted to be here at Augusta. He's never been here at Augusta. Well I think he got a good taste of what Augusta is about.
"I think he saved me a couple of shots. He knows golf. He is a professional. He played on the DP World Tour for ten years or so.
"He knows what the shot demands and that's a huge help."
